Alessandro Lindbald, better known under his stage name Alesso, is a Swedish DJ and record producer.

Biography[]

Born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1991, Lindblad began to play the piano at age 7 and became interested in electronic music when he was 16. His first EP, Alesso EP, was released through Joia Records in 2010, beginning his career.

The next year, in 2011, Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia contacted Alesso and asked if they wanted to work together. This led to the production of a track named "Calling" which later was renamed to "Calling (Lose My Mind)" and featured Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic.

In 2013, he released a collaboration with Calvin Harris featuring Hurts, entitled "Under Control".

Alesso debuted his first studio album, FOREVER—featuring his singles "Sweet Escape", "Heroes (we could be)" (featuring Tove Lo), and "Cool" (featuring Roy English)—in 2015.
